At present the whole world is fighting an epidemic like Corona virus which in medical terminology known as COVID-19. People are maintaining social distancing to keep themselves safe from the infection of the deadly virus. Despite this, the number of infected people is increasing every day. So far, millions of people have been infected with Corona virus in all over the world. Various studies have been conducted on corona virus and in all those researches it has been made clear that if our immunity is strong then the risk of infection is minimal. There are many natural remedies which can effectively maintain and enhance the body’s immunity.

1.Indian Basil
Basil is widely popular for increasing body’s immunity and strength. If your immunity is weak then any disease can surround you. In such case, the antioxidant properties present in basil leaves help in increasing the immunity of the body. Apart from this, the antibacterial and antiviral properties of basil also keep the cold, cough and allergies at the bay. If you are troubled from respiratory problems then also basil is an excellent natural remedy to cure that. This home remedy is very effective against the infections occur due to the changing weather.

Basil Tea

Ingredients
Fresh basil leaves – 5 to 6 leaves
Black pepper – 3 to 4 grains (crushed)
Cloves – 3 to 4 (crushed)
Honey – 2 tsp
Water – 200 ml

Method of Preparation
Take water in a pan and boil it with basil leaves, black pepper and cloves.
Let the water boil for a couple of minutes.
Strain the tea in a cup and add honey. Mix it well and drink it hot.
For better results consume basil tea every day.

2.Turmeric Powder
Turmeric contains the active ingredient Curcumin, which relieves pain and protects against heart diseases. This element also helps in maintaining sugar level of the blood and also works to increase the effect of diabetes medicines. Turmeric is a good antioxidant which can heal and prevent cell damage. Numerous studies have reported that curcumin can be considered as an effective element for cancer prevention too. Also, consuming it can strengthen the immune system.

Turmeric Tea

Ingredients
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Black seed – 1/2 tsp
Black salt – 2 pinches
Fresh mint leaves – 4 to 5
Honey – 2 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Water – 200 ml

Method of Preparation
Take water in a pan, add turmeric powder, black salt, black seed and mint leaves into it.
Let the water boil for a couple of minutes.
Strain the tea in a cup and add honey and lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it hot.
For better results consume turmeric tea every day.

3.Onion
Onion has antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial properties. Regular consumption of onion does not allow the occurrence of any type of disease caused by fungus, virus or bacteria. Onion contains vitamin C and calcium, which is beneficial for oral health also. Onion can efficiently boost immune system. Onion is loaded with fiber, which help in proper cleansing of stomach. Everyday eating raw onions can reduce the problem of cold, cough and sore throat.

Onion – 1 (medium sized)
Cinnamon powder – 2 to 3 pinch
Cloves – 3 to 4 (crushed)
Bay leaves – 2 
Honey – 2 tsp
Water – 200 ml

Method of Preparation
Take water in a pan and add diced onion, cinnamon powder, crushed cloves and bay leaves into it.
Let the water boil for a couple of minutes.
Strain the tea in a cup and add honey. Mix it well and drink it hot.

4.Garlic
Garlic has its own specialties, due to which it heals many health problems from its medicinal properties. It also has many anti-oxidant, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-microbial properties along with nutrients like vitamins C and B, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, minerals. Eating one or two garlic buds in a day activates such enzymes in the body, which are capable of protecting our body from allergic reactions.
The sulfuric and organic acid-rich compound allicin is present in garlic which can effectively improves our body's immune system as well as protects against many diseases. Safety guards work to prevent any kind of infection, reduce inflammation, pain and allergies in the changing weathers. Red chili powder – 2 pinches
Cumin powder – 2 to 3 pinch
Sea salt – 2 pinches
Honey – 2 tsp
Water – 200 ml

Method of Preparation
Take water in a pan add chopped garlic, sea salt, red chili powder and cumin powder into it.
Let the water boil for a couple of minutes.
Strain the tea in a cup and add honey and lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it hot.

5.Ginger
Ginger has many medicinal properties. The body remains warm by consuming it in cold weather. It also keeps digestion and other infection at bay. Ginger contains good amount of elements like protein, fat, carbohydrate, iron, calcium and iodine. It is effective in increasing the body's resistance. It is good for overall health. Ginger has thermogenic properties that are helpful in keeping the body warm. Ginger is considered a good antibiotic. Regular consumption of it reduces the risk of cold and flu in the cold and rainy weather.

6.Lemon

Take water in a pan add lemon zest, chopped ginger, salt and fresh mint leaves into it.
Let the water boil for a couple of minutes.
Strain the tea in a cup and add honey and lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it hot.

7.Green-Tea
Green tea has many medicinal properties. It is rich with Vitamin C, in addition to polyphenols, and anti-oxidants which help in increasing the body's resistance. Apart from this, it also reduces cholesterol level. The intake of green tea makes the digestive system better. Anti-oxidants present in green tea eliminate harmful bacteria and virus from the body. Consumption of green tea three to four times a day will increase the body temperature and hence immunity will get a boost.

Green tea – 1 bag (chopped)
Cinnamon powder – 2 to 3 pinch
Cloves – 3 to 4 (crushed)
Black pepper – 3 to 4 (crushed)
Honey – 2 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Water – 200 ml

Method of Preparation
Take water in a pan add cinnamon powder, cloves and black pepper into it.
Let the water boil for a couple of minutes.
Strain the tea in a cup and dip green tea bag into it. Also add honey and lemon juice. 
Mix it well and drink it hot.
For better results consume green tea every day.
